Mackay Festival of Arts

When art, culture and community collide!

The Mackay Festival of Arts is set to go live in July 2026, bursting back for its 39th year with a bold collision of creativity, culture and community.

From June 22, 2026 to August 9, 2026 the region will transform into a vibrant playground where art smashes into music, flavour collides with performance, and ideas spark in unexpected ways. With an electrifying lineup of events and activations, the festival will light up the tropics with unforgettable experiences for all ages.

From intimate, up-close moments to spectacular large-scale celebrations, the program is a full-sensory explosion - featuring performances, exhibitions, culinary adventures and immersive encounters that celebrate the heart and soul of Mackay.

Proudly supported by Mackay Regional Council, the festival champions our incredible local talent, iconic venues and community spirit, capturing everything that makes Mackay magical… and turning it up to eleven.
