On-street parking is available nearby at Badyari Yalu Road and along Rosewood Drive. Off-street parking is currently available from Rosewood Drive (car park 1).

Additional off-street open and undercover car parking will be provided off Badyari Yalu Road (car park 2) when this stage of works has been completed.

The Hub will include six accessible car parks, which is in excess of DDA requirements. Two accessible car parks are under cover in the undercroft via the Badyari Yalu Road entrance.

Use the ramp from car park 2 or via the multi-purpose court to access level 1. Level 1 offers access to a library, café, Community Room 1, FlexiSpace and Meeting Room 3.

This level is also accessible via a lift located on the ground floor near the stairs.

On the ground floor, underneath the library, are Community Rooms 2 and 3, Meeting Rooms 1 and 2, a kitchenette, the Robust Workshop Room and the Acoustic Workshop Room.

A Changing Places facility enables people with disabilities to more easily participate in the community, providing them with dignity, safety, hygiene, access and inclusion.

Changing Places facilities provide:

• A height adjustable adult-sized change table

• A constant charging ceiling track hoist system

• A centrally located peninsula toilet

• More circulation space than standard accessible toilets

• An automatic door with a clear opening of 950mm at minimum

• A privacy screen

Residents wanting to use a Changing Places facility will require a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK). This is a universal lock and key that allows people with disabilities to access dedicated public facilities 24 hours a day. Wheelchair accessibility for the Changing Places facility is easiest via the Rosewood Drive car park.

There is assistive listening technology which is designed to help people with hearing loss hear better in noisy environments and in group settings.

Hearing loops and touchscreen microphones are available in the following rooms:

• Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3
• Community Rooms 1 and 3
• FlexiSpace 

To support visitors who prefer a calmer environment, the library offers Quiet Time. It is held every Tuesday from 3pm to 5pm, providing a quieter library experience with reduced sensory impacts.

During quiet time, lights are dimmed and an announcement made requesting noise is kept to a minimum. 

The library offers a variety of accessible formats, including large print books and audiobooks. Digital collections also support accessibility, with eBooks allowing users to adjust to suit their reading preferences and needs.

The libraries' online platforms offer a range of accessibility features, including adjustable font sizes, zoom functionality, screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation and high-contrast viewing options to support a variety of access needs.

In addition to accessible digital services, the Library of Things collection provides access to a range of assistive equipment and resources, including low vision aids, dementia reminiscence resources, including activity animals, accessible keyboards, specialised mice and other adaptive technologies.
