Mackay Visitor Information Centre
Discover hidden gems in Sarina and Mackay
After a $3.45-million investment, the new state-of-the-art Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre in Sarina Field of Dreams Parklands is open. The one-of-a-kind centre is located in the original, heritage-listed 1950s railway station, packed with the latest technology – including interactive displays, a charging station and a touchscreen table – making it one of the most advanced visitor information centres in Australia.
Although the Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre only opened its doors on July 1, 2018, it is already picking up national recognition. The centre won silver at the 2019 Queensland Tourism awards for Visitor Information Services and received a Queensland Tourism and Industry Council award for its interactive touch-table technology.
The Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre is fully stocked with a wide selection of merchandise and local goodies. Our volunteers can provide you with a range of local and regional info on tours, attractions and accommodation. We can even book these for you, to help make your holiday plans stress free.
You can also enjoy the free facilities we have on offer - like the coffee and tea station, WIFI and a hydration station for your four legged friend.
There is plenty recreational vehicle parking available whilst visiting the Sarina Field of Dreams facilities and attractions and an easy access dump point is also available
We are open Monday to Friday - Please check mackayisaac.com or Facebook for our opening hours.
